Tasks Overview (Job & Load Tasks)
AttuneLogic uses Tasks to standardize work that must be completed for a Job and/or a Load/Leg (trucking), or similar work objects in other industries.
Key Concepts
- Task: A checklist item assigned to a specific Job or Load/Leg (e.g., “Take pickup photos”).
- Task Template: A reusable definition of a single task (title, category, required flags, etc.).
- Task Template Group: An ordered set of templates that can be applied together (and optionally auto-applied).
Where to Manage This in the Web App (Service)
- Go to Settings → Task Templates
- Templates tab: Create/edit individual templates
- Groups tab: Build ordered groups and configure auto-apply triggers
Job vs Load/Leg (Trucking)
- Job tasks: Use for company-wide workflow (dispatch, billing, compliance).
- Load/Leg tasks: Use for driver/field execution (pickup, delivery, POD, inspections).
- Templates and groups can be configured to apply to Job, Load/Leg, or Both.
Applying Templates vs Applying Groups
- Apply Templates: Applies templates based on template-level auto-apply settings.
- Apply Group: Applies a specific group’s ordered templates to a Job or Load/Leg.
Recommended approach for trucking
Put driver-facing checklists (pickup/delivery) in groups so you can reuse them across loads and keep a consistent, group-defined order.
