Notifications & Alerts
What this tool does
AttuneLogic notifications help your team react quickly to operational events across trucking and service/repair workflows.
- In-app notifications: visible inside the web app and mobile app.
- Push notifications: delivered to a user’s phone (when enabled) for time-sensitive alerts.
Common examples:
- Trucking: dispatch assignments, route/leg changes, urgent operational messages
- Service/Repair: new service requests, schedule changes, maintenance reminders, emergency notices
Who can use the Notification Templates tool
The Notification Templates admin tool is available to users with Owner/Admin/SuperAdmin access.
Where to find it (Web App)
In the web app, go to:
- Settings → Notification Templates
Sending a notification
You can send a notification in two ways:
- Send from a template: pick a template and click Send
- Send Custom: send a one-off message without saving a template
Step 1: Choose Type and Priority
- Type: choose what kind of notification it is (Dispatch, Service request, Maintenance, Invoice, System, Emergency)
- Priority:
- Low: informational (policy reminders, non-urgent updates)
- Medium: important but not urgent (maintenance windows)
- High: needs attention soon (dispatch reminders, schedule changes)
- Urgent: immediate action / safety (emergency alerts)
Step 2: Add recipients
You can target one or more users:
- Pick users from the recipients picker (search helps narrow the list)
- Or paste user IDs (comma-separated or one per line)
Step 3: Write the message
- Title: short headline (what shows in the notification list)
- Message: the details (keep it clear and action-oriented)
Optional: Metadata (advanced)
Admins can attach metadata JSON for internal tracking or automation (for example, tagging the source of a broadcast). If you don’t need it, leave it as {}.
Managing notification templates
System templates vs custom templates
- System templates: built-in templates provided by AttuneLogic (cannot be edited)
- Custom templates: templates you create (can be edited or deleted)
Important: custom templates are saved in your browser
Custom templates are stored in your browser’s local storage for your current tenant. That means:
- They may not appear for other admins on different computers/browsers
- Clearing browser data can remove them
If you need shared, organization-wide templates, tell your AttuneLogic administrator/support team so we can recommend the right approach.
What recipients will see
Recipients typically receive:
- An in-app notification in AttuneLogic
- A push notification on mobile if they have:
- Allowed notifications on the device
- A valid mobile push token registered
- Push notifications enabled in their preferences (if applicable)
Troubleshooting
“Users didn’t get the push notification”
Check:
- The user is on a physical device (push notifications don’t work reliably on simulators)
- Notifications are enabled in the phone’s OS settings for AttuneLogic
- The user has logged in recently (so the app can register the device token)
- The user is in the correct company/tenant (multi-tenant context matters)
“I can’t access Notification Templates”
This tool is restricted to Owner/Admin/SuperAdmin roles. Ask your admin to grant access if needed.
“My custom templates disappeared”
Custom templates are saved in browser storage. If you cleared site data or switched browsers/devices, they won’t be there.
